OVERVIEW
When an application or a service outage happens, the time taken to recover from the service disruption and to restore normal service is crucial. Having a good handle to manage and recover from a critical incident is key in building trust and reputation, and to be in compliance with regulatory requirements.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the training, participants will learn how to handle a crisis response and management process from inception till the resolution phase.
• Identifying and determining if an incident is critical and invoking regulatory and senior management notification immediately once it qualified as critical.
• Activating the crisis management command centre and commencing the crisis incident response and management process.
• Knowing the designated stakeholders to notify and alert to participate in the crisis management.
• Working with specialists to investigate, contain damage, and resolve the incident.
• Communicating and updating senior management, regulator, and impacted stakeholders on the incident response and management progress.
• Conducting post-mortem and capturing areas of improvement for future handling.
